He's here
I have a sleepy little boy in my arms. Born 9.7 lbs after a vaginal vacuum extraction. Three stitches. Two liters of blood lost during manual placenta extraction. Apgar 9/10/10 - one white hand. He is exhausting work, looks a little like Churchill. Feeling accomplished. Husband marvellous during labour and also now. I have yet to change a diaper in his 48 hours of life.

ReplyDeleteFunny about the diaper...I don't think I changed one for EJ until we actually came home :) Enjoy all the help while it lasts!
And oh my word did you say over 9 lbs???? He's almost double what my Jillian weighed. Hope that means he's a good eater and sleeper from the start :D
ReplyDeleteWONDERFUL!!! The renovations at my house mean I haven't been able to get onto a computer, so I'm at a friend's house and had to check if he had come!! Such wonderful, wonderful news!!!! :-D
ReplyDeleteI am so happy for you all!! Congrats Mama :)
ReplyDeleteCongratulations and very well done! I wish all three of you a wonderful life as a family! Hugs and hope to see you soon!
ReplyDeleteCONGRATULATIONS!! I know I am way behind on this one, but you'll understand. Babies take up so much time!! I am so happy for you. Also, the bonding doens't come immediately and it feels different every day (in my experience). Be patient. The REAL smiles seriously make everything else fade away!!!
